The event celebrated 78 businesses, organisations, and self-employed volunteers from across the state for their support of emergency services volunteers.

Wade Mason, Scott Medhurst & Dr Regina Flugge attended to accept the award for the Lake MacLeod team.

Emergency Services Minister Paul Papalia highlighted the importance of this event in acknowledging workplaces that enable their staff to respond to emergencies during work hours. Now in its 17th year, VERA celebrates and acknowledges employers who go above and beyond to enable their staff to respond to emergencies during work hours.

For a small community it's amazing to have local businesses support both the volunteers and services that support the community. Congratulations to everyone involved at Lake MacLeod.
