Sam is a strategic leader with over 20 years’ experience in HSE across Operations and Projects for major operators across the energy and resources industry, including onshore and offshore oil and gas, mining and mineral refinery, including BHP Petroleum, BHP Worsley Alumina, Chevron, INPEX Australia, BHP WAIO and Mineral Resources (Energy).

She is passionate about people, management systems, and continuous improvement, with strengths in stakeholder management and specialising in process mapping and streamlining information in Integrated Management Systems, to identify solutions that increase efficiencies across resources and technology to embed within wider business practices.  

Sam holds a BA in English Literature and a BA in Education, and has completed qualification units towards Masters in OHS, and Executive Masters in Strategy, Leadership, and Innovation, and is the recipient of two international HSE Awards for BHP.

Sam manages the Health, Safety, Training and Risk portfolios at the Executive level for Leichhardt and joined the Company in May 2026.
